Today I got to listen to it thunder pretty much for the entire day! I was probably the only CSULB student walking around smiling as it started to downpour and lightning was cracking overhead. I love storms and I love this weather! It needs to stay exactly like this until at least March of next year.
The girls and I are staying warm in our apartment by lighting our fire and eating chicken pot pies. My hell week is still going on, although it got a little easier because I met with my group and knocked out a midterm. All that's left are my two group presentations on Thursday which I'll finish and perfect tomorrow. Hopefully both of them will go super smooth. Hope you guys are having a good week! Tomorrow is hump day and we'll be that much closer to the weekend!
This weekend has officially started my hell week. I have more homework, presentations, and tests this week than I will any other week this semester. I'm quite honestly freaking out, but I've reached that point where I'm too stressed and too tired to keep studying or trying tonight. Not to mention that physically my body is aching and emotionally all I want to do is cry.
I thought I would share with you a particular incident that has happened to me three times since moving into our apartment!!
My bathroom is tiny. Super tiny, so when I take a shower with the door closed it gets very steamy and I can't see the mirror when I get out. However, if I take a shower with the bathroom door open, way less steam which makes getting ready easier. Make sense?
Anyways, so these three times that I've taken a shower and this incident has happened, I've been mid shampoo or, like today, mid shaving my legs and my smoke detector has started to go off. Yes, my smoke detector! So I've had to fly out of the shower, grab a towel, and try to shut the dang thing up, which only happens when I unplug it, three times now!
I don't understand it. There's no smoke, my room isn't super steamy, and it's just ridiculous! I'm afraid someone's gonna hear it and call the fire department for no reason. Ah!
Just thought I would share. It's Friday so.... Happy Start to the Weekend!
Last night Corinne, Kacey, Hannah, and I decided that we were going to go get some dinner out since we were all starving. Chilis is having that amazing 2 for $20 dollars deal so we totally took advantage of it. It was the first time we had all been out to an actual sit down dinner together and it was a lot of fun. The Pike is a really cool place to eat and walk around, if you're in the LB area you should check it out.
Walking across the bridge.
The rest of our evening was spent at our house. We swam in the pool, did homework, watched part of "The Swan Princesses" and then switched to "Anastasia", took pictures with fake mustaches we got at Ralph's, and laughed a lot. I think the following picture is going to be one of my favorites. We were tired and giggly and it was awesome.
I slept through my alarm this morning. Probably didn't have the volume up loud enough to compete with my two fans that work overtime throughout the night to keep me cool. So no church for me today, which actually made me a little sad. When I realized I'd never make it in time I went back to sleep for a little bit and then I got to wake up to some pretty cute text messages from my boyfriend (insert smile here).
My morning has now been spent reading some new blogs that will most likely become favorites and drinking coffee. I would say that it's a wonderful way to spend a fall morning, but it's probably going to be eighty degrees today, so it's just a wonderful way to spend a weekend morning. Happy Sunday!
I think it's one of my favorite seasons. I've been looking at fall clothes online and I can't wait for this dang hot weather to end! A few nights ago we decorated for the season/Halloween. Is it just me or do we also have a giant "M" in the window?
